Fort Worth Tcu Horned Frogs

Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, ranked 80th nationally, has been among the top ten schools in the country for the past two years.

The Frogs, a 12-team team, have won 6-2 against Texas and have won five of their last six games in Texas. The Big 12 series record is 4-2 since TCU joined Baylor in 2012, and the school has participated in four of the last five Big XII championship games. The Frogs are also 6-for-2 against Texas in the conference play, with a 2-0 record against the Longhorns at Texas Tech Stadium. TCU has always been an educational partner of the US military and is a member of both the US Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (USARTC) and the Fly Squirrel Team.

The Horned Frogs are also known for their men's basketball program, which began in 1908 and has won 10 conference titles since 1987. In the 2000-01 season, the Squirrel Frogs won their first conference title ever in the WAC tournament and reached the second round of the C-USA tournament. The following year, in 2003, they recorded their best record to date at 20-11 and the following year they were invited to a sugar bowl and made it to the third round. This year, the Hornes were invited to the Rose Bowl, where they lost to Notre Dame, a team with a 21-10 record, and the following year hosted the Sugar Bowl.

The TCU Horned Frogs also share a historic rivalry with the Southern Methodist University Mustangs, located in Fort Worth, Texas, just a few miles south of the TCU campus. They also laid the groundwork for the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A & M University in Arlington.

The win in Fort Worth followed a 25-point home loss to Texas A & M, which was offset by a 45-22 loss to the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. The Bears trailed by 14 points in the first half before TCU pulled away for a 45-22 victory.

In 1990, the Horned Frogs qualified for the NCAA South Central Regional that year and became the first team in school history to play in the Rose Bowl. The TCU Harriers sent runners - in 2003 and 2005 - and Baylor became the 15th program in the NCAA Division. The 1,000-win streak reached its highest point in program history on Saturday, finishing with Texas, Texas A & M, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech as the No.

The Horned Frogs are returning to the kind of inconsistent play that has hampered them in recent weeks, losing three of four games before escaping Kansas with a one-point victory. Two weeks ago, they returned from a three-game losing streak and defeated the Waco High team. That left a Baylor team that lost its first three games of the season and defeated the first-year team, the Baylor Bears, in the Waco City League.

Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson and the rest of the TCU coaching staff are holding their breath and focusing again on their next game, a home game against Texas Tech on Saturday.

The Jayhawks will face an opponent who is not ranked first when they travel to Fort Worth on Tuesday to face TCU. The Horned Frogs became the first team in school history to win the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). In the 1977-78 season, they recorded a 5-18 record and their first-ever non-conference game in 26 years, a loss to Texas A & M.

The Jayhawks, who outscored the Horned Frogs by 21, shot 56.5% on field goals and 56% in the first half. In the second half, the Longhorns stiffened on the boards, uncharacteristically forcing Texas to a field goal and getting Ehlinger out four times, nearly five in total.
